The old man reeled in his fishing rod. A black insect with fine golden stripes hung from the hook.
A faint golden glow rose from his fingertips. A golden thread kept drawing out from his fingers, winding around the insect several times. Then he snapped the thread and cast the hook back into the water.
Nameless slowly walked over, took out a chair, and sat down.
Before him was a lake reflecting blue skies and white clouds. Behind him was a grove giving off a faint fragrance. He comfortably closed his eyes, then opened them again after a long while and stared blankly at the sky.
The old man fishing beside him paid no attention to the unexpected visitor.
He leisurely swayed the fishing rod in his hand. When the wind blew, his beard drifted with it, seeming to move while actually remaining still.
Shui'er looked at Nameless, then at the old man. She scratched her head in confusion, unable to understand what the two of them were doing.
Logically speaking, since the old man had noticed them, he should have shown some reaction. Yet he continued fishing, completely unconcerned by their arrival.
Nameless was just as strange. He had stopped speaking the moment he entered the grove, and when he reached the lakeside, he had simply sprawled out.
What exactly was going on now?
Shui'er looked at Tianxing Mingyue, but Tianxing Mingyue simply played dead. She shot him several meaningful looks, but he gave no response.
"Young man, have you ever brewed wine?" the old man suddenly asked.
Nameless answered honestly, "No."
"Then you should give it a try when you have time." The old man picked up a gourd beside him and tossed it to Nameless.
Nameless caught the gourd and looked at the old man doubtfully. The
