Martin's expression shifted. He immediately stepped in front of Momo and looked up. The chief descended from the sky and landed on an open patch of ground not far ahead.
A refugee happened to be standing beside the chief. Startled by his landing, the man turned to run, but before he could take a step, the chief kicked a pebble at him and blasted him to pieces.
"Stop!"
Martin shouted as soon as he saw the chief kick the pebble, but by the time the word left his mouth, it was too late.
Anger flashed across his face. He barely knew these people, and he could not spend Resurrection Coins to bring them back.
A person could have a kind heart, but no one could be infinitely generous.
