Moreya Town.
Owl, Sa, and Long Na flew out of the well. Owl yawned and said, "Say, Sa, why do you think your ancestor left such a precious inheritance in a well?"
"Where else, the outhouse? You'd have to fall into the cesspit to discover it!" Long Na's eyes darted mischievously as she offered her suggestion with a smile.
Owl looked at Long Na speechlessly, then quipped, "If he'd really left it in an outhouse, it wouldn't be called the 'Great Eating Sutra.' It'd be the 'Great Shit-Eating Sutra.'"
"If he hadn't left it in the well, there really doesn't seem to be anywhere else suitable," Sa said thoughtfully.
If the inheritance had been left in a book, the book might have been sold.
Other objects might have been sold as well. But if it was left in the ancestral home's well, then unless every member of the family left their homeland, someone would discover it eventually. That really was more reliable than leaving behind some inheritance artifact.
"He could have built a secret chamber and left the inheritance there," Long Na suggested.
Suddenly, Sa frowned and looked toward the old well. Noticing her strange reaction, Owl immediately followed her gaze. The old well was actually glowing. The next moment, a green pillar of light erupted from it, piercing straight into the sky.
"Look over there!" Long Na immediately pointed into the distance.
That was the direction of the sea. Owl looked over and exclaimed in surprise, "Could that be the well in Emerald City?"
The two pillars of light reached the highest point in the sky simultaneously, then formed a thin green membrane. The entire world seemed to turn green.
"Could this have something to do with the third part of the inheritance?" Owl guessed.
