He stared at his fist in disbelief. He had finally hit Owl. Although he had not broken through Owl's defenses, he had glimpsed the first light of victory.
Then Owl threw a punch, and his body exploded once again.
Owl stood where he was, growing a little impatient. He closed his eyes, tilted his head back, and drew a deep breath. He swallowed the surrounding air like a whale gulping down water, even dragging the white clouds down from the sky and into his mouth.
From the third volume of the Great Eating Sutra, he had likewise gained a new talent, called Devour Heaven and Earth.
The ability was actually very simple: anything he ate could make him stronger, and the more he ate, the stronger he became.
