Zombie variants included Fire-Type Corpses, Water-Type Corpses, Earth-Type Corpses, Wood-Type Corpses, Metal-Type Corpses...
Ghost variants included Gluttonous Ghosts, hanged ghosts, starved ghosts, Earthbound Spirits, water ghosts, Fire Ghosts...
The way to become a Gluttonous Ghost was simple: keep eating until you literally stuffed yourself to death. The process was excruciating, more than most people could bear.
Li Dun had simply loved food too much. After becoming a ghost, everything he ate would taste bland unless his strength reached the ghost king realm, which was why he had "eaten for all he was worth, even unto death."
Gluttonous Ghost soldiers had no particularly heaven-defying abilities. Their only advantage was that they could eat-and eat an extraordinary amount.

Some corpses, however, happened to be buried in places steeped in fire or water baleful intent, which transformed their constitutions into Fire-Type Corpses or Water-Type Corpses.
