More frightening still was the unknown liquid metal. There was no telling what properties it would have once it solidified.

Some metals were extremely hot in their liquid state, then became exceptionally hard and tough once solidified, making their shape almost impossible to change through brute force.

If the magma beneath the fissure had those same properties, then even if Long Shan managed to climb out in time, defeat would still be inevitable.

But Long Shan was no fool either. He moved rapidly on the other side, constantly dodging Zhong Ke's attacks and occasionally catching bullets to throw back at him.

Their exchange dragged into a stalemate for a full fifteen minutes. Then Long Shan suddenly pulled out an axe and hurled it straight at Zhong Ke's feet.

There was nothing unusual about the axe itself, but its handle suddenly erupted with dazzling light before exploding with a thunderous roar.
