They Fought Until Even the Style Changed

There was something formed in chaos, born before heaven and earth. Silent and solitary, it stood alone and unchanging, moving everywhere without exhaustion; it could be the mother of all beneath heaven. I did not know its name, so I reluctantly called it the Dao.

The true Great Dao could not be seen. Before attaining the Dao Fruit, every school held to its own interpretation. The Dao Sect called it the "Dao," the Buddhist Sect called it "Tathagata" or "Bodhi," and the Brahma-Self Religion called it "Upper Brahman."

All things evolved from the Dao. The Dao gave birth to the True World, and the True World gave birth to the myriad realms and parallel universes.

To ascend from the True World to the Dao and transcend the multiverse, one needed to become a Most Ancient One and verify the Dao Fruit.

Ascending from the myriad realms to the True World, however, did not require such formidable strength. Reaching Outer Landscape or Half-Step Outer Landscape was enough.

Lin Xian performed Dragon-Riding Ascension and arrived at the Heavenly Gate. He was not a proper Outer Landscape cultivator, relying instead on brute force outside that path. Unable to resonate with the underlying principles and receive their guidance, he simply threw a punch and shattered space!

Boom!

In an instant, it was as though the Empyrean had flown into a rage. Generation after generation of ascenders had followed the rules, accompanied by wondrous manifestations, riding cranes as they ascended amid auspicious signs. Where had this brute come from, daring to offend the Heavenly Dao?

Amid a roaring deluge, one vast bolt of lightning after another descended, mighty and unstoppable. They lit up the Great World, seemingly intent on destroying the entire mortal realm!

Rather than fear it, Lin Xian laughed and clapped his hands.
