Chapter Summaries

Jia Paer learned that breaking the seal to the Research Area required magic from three different owners or a Spades-room Transfer Certificate, so he sought the Magic Association professors as teammates. After telling them about the academy and its Magical Radiance, he waited to see whether they would accept the opportunity.

• Jia Paer asked the Sorting Hat about the Caria Knight's seal and learned about the dangerous Research Area and how to break through.

Jia Paer invited professors from the Magic Association to explore Zane Dungeon, and Tu Erqi and He De Si agreed to join him. Their first trip into Firelink Shrine ended with Tu Erqi calming the graveyard Skeleton Warriors, only for a Stink Bomb to make the group vomit.

Tu Erqi, He De Si, and Luo Jieer followed Jia Paer through Zane Dungeon, where Tu Erqi studied an endlessly looping corridor until a Black Howl Dragon attacked. They escaped into the real Magic Classroom, where Jia Paer and He De Si were assigned mentors by the Sorting Hat.

• Tu Erqi and He De Si examined the looping corridor, and Jia Paer failed to find the hidden door in its usual location before locating the Transfer Certificates.
• Tu Erqi delayed the group to study the corridor's cycles, and a Black Howl Dragon charged at them from the darkness.
• Tu Erqi's shield could not stop the Black Howl Dragon, so Jia Paer and He De Si used Transfer Certificates to teleport everyone away before the shield shattered.

He De Si and the others received mentors at Raya Lucaria Magic Academy through the Sorting Hat. He De Si saw a vision of Sellen’s legendary Star Creation Rain, Tu Erqi received Harry Potter’s Expecto Patronum, and Luo Jieer was assigned to Orbeck.

• The Sorting Hat explained that Sellen had been expelled for dangerous research and killing colleagues, but returned after one of her students became an Elden Lord and forced Raya Lucaria Magic Academy to submit.
• He De Si received an outside professor Student ID and saw Sellen cast the legendary Star Creation Rain before receiving Glintstone Pebble.
• Tu Erqi was assigned Harry Potter and saw a vision of him driving away Dementors with Expecto Patronum, a spell she hoped to adapt for mental defense.
• Tu Erqi noticed Expecto Patronum required recalling the happiest moment of her life, then handed the Sorting Hat to Luo Jieer.
• The Sorting Hat assigned Luo Jieer to Orbeck, leaving him stunned.

Luo Jieer, He De Si, Jia Paer, and Tu Erqi tested their newly acquired magic while exploring the Raya Lucaria Magic Classroom for keys to its hidden area. They found the Spades Key hanging from what appeared to be a Caria Knight, but Luo Jieer’s sneak attack revealed it was a Mimic Tear.

• Luo Jieer tested Cast Sound on Jia Paer, who retaliated with Sun Fist, while He De Si and the others tried out their new spells in combat.
• Tu Erqi repeatedly failed to cast Expecto Patronum because she could not recall happy memories, so the group focused on exploring the classroom for keys.

• Luo Jieer and the others explored a mural-filled storage room, recorded an eerie image of glintstone hoods arranged like a star, and found unfinished magic staffs.
• A Magician Ball ambushed Luo Jieer in the next room, but Jia Paer cut it down; the group found glintstone hoods and tried using the Star Tear Drop in a fountain.
• Luo Jieer and the others tested the Star Tear Drop on a magician, but it had no apparent effect, and the group headed toward the Research Area.

Gong Qiying monitored Jia Paer’s group as they entered Lake Liurnia, a vast dungeon level built around Academy Gate Town and Raya Lucaria Magic Academy. After the group followed a summoned dragon in the wrong direction, they encountered a Wraith Rider and were ambushed by enormous lobster-like creatures.

• Gong Qiying explained Val Dungeon’s themed levels, safe zones, and labyrinths while watching Jia Paer’s group explore.
• Jia Paer and his companions appeared in Lake Liurnia and chose a direction across the misty water.
• Gong Qiying summoned a Glintstone Dragon to steer the group toward Academy Gate Town, and they chased it before losing sight of it.

Tu Erqi, Luo Jieer, Jia Paer, and He De Si fought off Wraiths and Great Lobsters before continuing across Lake Liurnia toward Academy Gate Town. They explored the quiet ruins and encountered the wandering merchant Ka Lie, who offered to sell them something.

• Tu Erqi healed Luo Jieer and shielded the group while He De Si’s Falling Star and Jia Paer’s swordsmanship defeated the Great Lobsters and Wraiths.

• Tu Erqi and her companions found an abstract map on a corpse that marked the dangerous Path of Salvation in the northwest.
• Jia Paer seized Wraith Riders’ horses, and Luo Jieer calmed one with Roya Dried Fruit as the group raced across Lake Liurnia.

• The Wraith Horse collapsed and turned to ash before the group reached Academy Gate Town, and Jia Paer suggested they rest by the bonfire.

Jia Paer’s group fought through a swarm of magicians and entered the enormous Magic Academy, only to find its interior stretched far beyond its exterior and even included underground areas. Before they could decide whether to explore, they encountered Leon’s Strategy Team under attack by Glintstone Dragon Smarag.

• He De Si tried to pass as an enemy magician by changing clothes and imitating their magical fluctuations, but a crownless magician exposed him and Jia Paer killed the attacker.
• Luo Jieer used a Lure Skull to draw the magicians into Jia Paer’s range, and the group defeated the gathered enemies and opened the academy’s gate.
• The group discovered the academy’s vast interior and found a torn proposal mentioning underground structures, leaving Jia Paer hesitant about exploring it.
• Glintstone Dragon Smarag attacked people near the academy’s sealed gate, so Jia Paer led his group outside to investigate.

• Jia Paer declined to take the group’s remaining key, then left through the portal with Tu Erqi and the others to restock on food.

• More than twenty elves made a dramatic entrance in Bede City, drawing attention away from Lu Lu Wo and the Skyrim Strategy Team’s book sales.
