Ch. 523Cleanrot and Red Lion

Te Pi and a Silver Rank adventuring party fled a Cleanrot Knight through Caelid, where Radahn Soldiers and giant dogs turned the pursuit into a chaotic series of battles. The party escaped immediate danger when the local enemies fought one another instead, and Te Pi decided they should watch.

  • The party attacked the Cleanrot Knight, but he broke free, wounded the mage, heavily armored warrior, and assassin, and forced the survivors to flee with Te Pi.
  • The poisoned captain grappled the Cleanrot Knight to buy the others time, but the knight caught up with them after they escaped the swamp.
  • Radahn Soldiers and a Redmane Knight appeared; the Redmane Knight attacked the Cleanrot Knight while the Soldiers fought Te Pi's group.
  • Giant dogs ambushed the fleeing adventurers, who ran back toward the Radahn Soldiers for shelter.
  • The Radahn Soldiers ignored the adventurers and fought the giant dogs while the Cleanrot Knight and Redmane Knight battled, so Te Pi suggested watching the fights.

Ch. 524Red Lion Flame

Te Pi watched a Redmane Knight and a Cleanrot Knight fight to exhaustion, only for adventurers to ambush and kill them both before either could claim victory. After the group fought the Radahn Soldiers, a terrified adventurer captain returned with a crimson female invader pursuing him.

  • Te Pi and the adventurers secretly recorded the Redmane Knight and Cleanrot Knight battling, and Te Pi wondered whether they belonged to opposing factions.
  • The knights unleashed powerful attacks against each other and collapsed at the same time, but two adventurers used Invisibility Scrolls to kill them while they were exhausted.
  • The adventurers collected Ashes of War: Redmane Fire from the Redmane Knight, while Te Pi regretted missing the battle's true conclusion.
  • Te Pi watched the Radahn Soldiers coordinate against the giant dogs, then led the adventurers in attacking the exhausted soldiers after the dogs fled.
  • The adventurer captain ran back to the group, pleading for help as a crimson female invader chased him.

Ch. 525Killer, Millicent!

Te Pi and the adventurers fought an invader named Millicent near Caelid’s Scorching Fire Wall, while Te Pi deduced that the flames contained the poison. After Millicent killed the group with Waterfowl Dance, they revived and encountered her invading them again just as the dungeon was closing.

  • The adventurers regrouped and attacked the red-clad invader, but their arrows, shield bashes, and explosives barely affected her.
  • Te Pi noticed that ordinary plants grew beyond the Scorching Fire Wall and concluded that the flames contained Caelid’s poison, while the Radahn Soldiers guarded the area against its spread.
  • Millicent overwhelmed the adventurers, then unleashed Waterfowl Dance and killed them all.
  • The group revived at Sellia Crystal Tunnel and accused Millicent of exploiting level-scaling to invade weaker adventurers.
  • The adventurers returned to the swamp, where another invasion notification announced Millicent, and the dungeon’s closing bell rang.

Ch. 526Level-Scaled Invasion B Was Too Cruel

Millicent invaded Te Pi’s party for the fourth time and repeatedly wiped out the adventurers with Waterfowl Dance. After recording their findings in the Swamp and Sellia, Te Pi led the exhausted party into Sorcerous Town of Sellia, where they found little before the dungeon expelled them; Lan Le greeted them and asked what they had brought back.

  • Millicent used Waterfowl Dance to lure the adventurers together and kill them, prompting the party to complain about her and discuss placing a bounty.
  • The adventurer captain found his talisman in the Swamp with the mage’s help, while Te Pi recorded advice about protecting against its toxins.
  • Te Pi chose Sorcerous Town of Sellia as the party’s next destination and recorded that its crystals might be a resource.
  • The adventurers struggled against the invisible, teleporting mages in Sellia and collected only a few crystal clusters before the dungeon expelled them.
  • Lan Le welcomed Te Pi and the adventurers back and asked what they had brought for him.

Ch. 527The Victor Is

Te Pi Bask and Ge Ha De reported their discoveries from Zane Dungeon to Prince Lan Le, but Te Pi’s findings about Caelid and its Glintstone earned him the right to manage the portal and surrounding area. Lan Le then offered Te Pi an official post, leaving Ge Ha De’s authority in his own territory under threat.

  • Ge Ha De and his knights returned naked and mentally shattered after repeatedly fighting the Falling Star Beast, and the gathered onlookers laughed at them.
  • Ge Ha De blamed Te Pi for the ordeal and tried to attack him, but Lan Le’s guard restrained him before the two nobles reported their discoveries.
  • Ge Ha De described Sellia Crystal Tunnel and the Falling Star Beast, while Te Pi presented his findings about the Red Lion Legion, Caelid’s poison, and Sorcerous Town of Sellia.
  • Aide Jia identified Te Pi’s crystal fragments as exceptionally pure Glintstone, which could advance the research of his teacher, Yuenka.
  • Lan Le awarded Te Pi authority over the portal and surrounding area, then offered him an official post as Ge Ha De looked on in dismay.

Ch. 528The Strongest Person in Our Family's History

Ge Ha De suffered nightmares over his defeat while Te Pi rebuilt the area around the Zane Dungeon portal and sought training from You Fei. You Fei agreed to help Te Pi grow stronger so he could make Leon the strongest Bask, and the portal was opened to the people of the Warrior Country.

  • Ge Ha De woke from another nightmare about the Falling Star Beast and brooded over Te Pi’s new position and his own inability to oppose him.
  • Te Pi expanded construction and trade around the Zane Dungeon portal, using his new authority and the Golden Lion Merchant Guild to profit from the dungeon’s resources.
  • Te Pi asked You Fei to train him, explaining that he wanted to grow stronger after realizing he had wronged Leon.
  • You Fei agreed to help Te Pi become the strongest person in the Bask Family and promised to take him to fight the Omen Ogre.
  • Te Pi lifted the portal restrictions, allowing people from the Warrior Country to enter Zane Dungeon freely.

Ch. 529Magic Weapon Skills Are What Make You Superior!

Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La traveled to Black Rock City to enter Zane Dungeon and settle their argument over whether Weapon Skills or magic were superior. As the dungeon’s portal opened to a huge crowd, they headed inside to seek proof.

  • A restaurant owner told Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La that Happiny was unavailable because a shipment convoy had been attacked, and the pair began arguing over whether Weapon Skills or magic were strongest.
  • Sai Ke recalled how Zane Dungeon’s Lion Slash and Vacuum Slash had strengthened him, while Qiao Ke La remembered obtaining powerful spells there, including Swirling Magic Pebble.
  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La arrived at the crowded Zane Dungeon portal in Black Rock City, where guards explained exploration rules, rewards, and the available guidebook.
  • Qiao Ke La pulled Sai Ke past the queue for guidebooks and led him toward the portal so they could enter the dungeon.

Ch. 530Oh, Zane, My Zane

Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La explored Zane Dungeon, arguing over whether Weapon Skills or magic were stronger as they struggled through its challenges. After wolves nearly overwhelmed them, Beinal intervened and offered his help.

  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La entered Zane Dungeon, admired its scenery, and collected souvenirs before the Grafted Noble attacked them.
  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La fought the Grafted Noble with Weapon Skills and magic, but he defeated them and sent them falling off a cliff.
  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La revived, bickered past the White Mask, Tree Sentinel, and Ka Lie, then used Torrent to reach the Godrick Soldiers at the gate.
  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La failed to fight through the soldiers, so Qiao Ke La used Mage Hand and Lure Skulls to distract them while they escaped on Torrent.
  • A pack of wolves attacked Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La after Torrent vanished, and Sai Ke fought until he was nearly overwhelmed.
  • Beinal appeared, drove off the largest White Wolf with Storm Blade, and offered to lend Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La a hand.

Ch. 531Teacher Bernahl, Master of Weapon Skills

Beinal saved Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La from a pack of wolves, then offered to teach them Weapon Skills. They accepted, but lacking enough runes to learn even the cheapest skill, Sai Ke left determined to earn more.

  • Beinal killed the wolves with Shattered Step, Whirlwind Slash, and Lava Plume, setting Stormhill’s vegetation ablaze.
  • Beinal invited Sai Ke to the ruined shack, asked whether he would keep fighting in the Lands Between, and offered to pass on his Weapon Skills.
  • Sai Ke eagerly accepted Beinal’s offer, and Qiao Ke La arrived after putting out the fire and agreed to learn as well.
  • Beinal explained that they could learn basic Weapon Skills and improve skills they already knew, but that training required runes and physical strength.
  • Unable to afford even Shattered Step, Sai Ke vowed to save enough runes and left to earn them.

Ch. 532The First to Take the Risk

Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La learned the beginnings of Shattered Step from Beinal, while Gong Qiying watched the Weapon Skill initiative take shape. After failing to claim a reward for reporting Beinal, the pair discovered that the guild had withdrawn commissions about Unknown Monsters and warned adventurers to stay in the city.

  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La gathered runes and learned Shattered Step from Beinal, leaving exhausted but with a brief chance to practice the skill themselves.
  • Beinal explained that their initial understanding would fade in a day or two unless they practiced or paid him to extend it, and Sai Ke vowed to learn every Weapon Skill.
  • Gong Qiying watched adventurers encounter Beinal and planned to spread Weapon Skills before beginning the next phase with the Gladiator's help.
  • Sai Ke and Qiao Ke La hurried to the Golden Lion Merchant Guild to sell information about Beinal, but learned another adventurer had already reported it.
  • Sai Ke spotted commissions about Unknown Monsters attacking cargo wagons, but a guild staff member removed them and warned the pair not to leave the city.
  • The guild staff member worried that Mr. Basque and General You Fei had not returned from investigating the Unknown Monsters.

Ch. 533Anti-Omen Ogre Special Training

You Fei put Te Pi through brutal bullet-dodging training to prepare him to fight the Omen Ogre, while recalling Fan En and Yi Sha’s homecoming and news about Zane Dungeon. Te Pi finally dodged You Fei’s spear, and she prepared to take the group to face the Omen Ogre.

  • Yi Sha fired at Te Pi while his hands were tied, forcing him to dodge bullets as part of You Fei’s special training.
  • You Fei recalled taking Fan En and Yi Sha to their father Fan Helsing’s hometown, where they collected his diary, a vampire-slaying stake, and other keepsakes.
  • You Fei learned that Arnor Kingdom’s adventurers were racing to explore Zane Dungeon’s old area while Warrior Country’s adventurers headed for Black Rock City and its new portal.
  • You Fei heard that Jia Paer was returning to Warrior Country to preserve rare Weapon Skills and that a delegation chosen by Anzi III was traveling to Arnor Kingdom.
  • Te Pi dodged You Fei’s spear after his training, and You Fei said they would rest briefly before going to challenge the Omen Ogre.

Ch. 534Great Bridge Massacre

You Fei, Fan En, Yi Sha, and Te Pi battled the Omen on the bridge before Stormveil Castle, but their fight ended with the bridge collapsing and the group split apart. As the wounded Omen cornered Te Pi, the summoned spirit Magician Luo Jieer appeared and attacked him from behind.

  • Te Pi tried to draw the Omen's attention, while You Fei and Fan En attacked and Yi Sha interrupted his giant hammer strike with Quicksilver Bullets.
  • The Omen targeted Yi Sha, but You Fei threw her out of danger and Fan En intercepted the spear aimed at her.
  • The Omen overwhelmed Te Pi with a Slow Blade, while You Fei and Fan En continued fighting and Yi Sha searched for openings to shoot.
  • Fan En noticed cracks spreading across the bridge, and the Omen's giant hammer blow caused the bridge to collapse, leaving You Fei, Fan En, and Yi Sha separated from Te Pi and the Omen.
  • Te Pi woke up beside the nearly defeated Omen, and Magician Luo Jieer emerged from the Fog Gate and struck the Omen with a backstab.

Ch. 535Magician Luo Jieer

You Fei and the others defeated the Fell Omen with help from the summoned magician Luo Jieer, who explained that the enemy was a clone and said he would remain at Stormveil Castle. After Luo Jieer vanished, You Fei realized his arrival had strengthened the boss, and Te Pi claimed the reward: a Talismans Pouch.

  • Te Pi summoned Luo Jieer, who struck the Fell Omen while You Fei and the others joined the attack and defeated him.
  • The Fell Omen dissolved into golden light after warning the Tarnished that he would remember them and never let them go.
  • Luo Jieer told the group the Fell Omen was a clone and introduced himself as a magician before asking why they had come to Stormveil Castle.
  • Luo Jieer disappeared when his helper mission ended, and You Fei confronted Te Pi after realizing the summon had made the fight more painful.
  • Te Pi collected the boss reward, a Talismans Pouch that could enhance one talisman.

Ch. 536Zane's "Conservatism"

You Fei and the others celebrated defeating the Fell Omen, tested the Talismans Pouch, and prepared to explore Stormveil Castle with Aide Jia. At a Site of Grace, Melina appeared and offered to take You Fei to Roundtable Hold.

  • Gong Qiying changed the Talismans Pouch to strengthen talismans without burdening the wearer, and You Fei tested its power by shattering part of a city wall.
  • Fan En and the others celebrated their rewards, then turned their attention to exploring Stormveil Castle and confronting the dangers within.
  • You Fei contacted Aide Jia, who agreed to join them after gathering glintstone; she used his flesh-and-magic item to create a body for him.
  • Fan En and the others vanished near the Site of Grace, and You Fei sat down there, where Melina appeared.
  • Melina apologized for doubting You Fei and offered to guide her to Roundtable Hold.

Ch. 537Roundtable Hold

You Fei visited the Roundtable Hold, witnessed visions of its history and several mysterious figures, then explored the empty hall. After reuniting with Fan En, Yi Sha, and Te Pi, she became trapped behind a Fog Gate as a hostile invader appeared.

  • You Fei accepted Melina's offer to travel to the Roundtable Hold and witnessed visions of countless warriors, including Crucible Knight, Dung Eater, and Luo Jieer.
  • You Fei saw a strange pair of two-fingered hands beyond a set of doors, then found herself alone in the Roundtable Hold with every door shut.
  • You Fei discovered that the Erdtree Sanctuary could be used to leave the dungeon and searched for Fan En and the others.
  • You Fei jumped down from the terrace and heard Fan En thanking Hewg for forging their equipment.
  • Fan En, Yi Sha, and Te Pi warned You Fei of danger, but a Fog Gate blocked her way back upstairs and Frenzied Tongue Alberich invaded.

Ch. 538The Second Level-Scaled Invasion B!

You Fei entered Roundtable Hold and was killed by Alberich after interrupting his salute and facing his devastating spells. After returning and exploring the Hold, she rejoined Aide Jia, whose alarming pallor he blamed on Magic Town.

  • You Fei attacked Alberich as he bowed, and he unleashed a blizzard and three waves of Thorns of Sin that killed her.
  • You Fei returned at Erdtree Sanctuary, learned that Alberich appeared whenever someone approached the hall, and retrieved her spear with a rope.
  • Fan En showed You Fei Roundtable Hold, where she met the blacksmith Hewg and the merchant Twin Maiden Husks.
  • You Fei and the others discovered that Erdtree Sanctuary could teleport them to a few sites of grace, then returned to the great bridge.
  • Aide Jia met the group after his body was constructed, and he said Magic Town had left him frighteningly pale.

Ch. 539I Hate Sain 20

Aide Jia entered Sorcerous Town of Sellia to gather glintstone and prove his magical skill while his teacher Yuenka prepared for the War Festival. The Sellia mages exposed his invisibility and hunted him, leaving him humiliated and hating Zane Dungeon.

  • Aide Jia blamed Zane Dungeon's magic for Yuenka's stalled research and went to Sellia to collect its glintstone.
  • Aide Jia used an Invisibility Cloak and spells to slip into Sellia, then changed his plan and set up a research site inside the town.
  • Aide Jia killed two mages and began experimenting with glintstone while dismissing the War Festival preparations as unnecessary.
  • Aide Jia heard a spirit warn about Sellia's assassin mages, then found a mage inside his supposedly secure laboratory and attacked it.
  • Sellia's mages saw through Aide Jia's invisibility, surrounded him, and revealed their speed and skill as assassins.
  • Aide Jia later told You Fei and the others that the Sellia mages had repeatedly used him for amusement, then declared that he hated Zane Dungeon.

Ch. 540Stormveil Castle

The adventurers reached Stormveil Castle, where Aide Jia tried to prove his invisibility magic could bypass the main gate’s defenses. After the castle’s Sentry Torches exposed him and the ballistae struck him down, he revived furious and vowed to destroy the gate.

  • You Fei and the others left for Stormveil Castle after Aide Jia returned from Sellia with no research results.
  • The group found the main gate sealed and met Gatekeeper Gostoc, who recommended entering through a hidden hole in the wall.
  • Aide Jia asked Gostoc to open the main gate so he could cross the tunnel under invisibility magic.
  • Aide Jia passed the ordinary torches unnoticed, but Sentry Torches revealed him and the ballistae blasted him back.
  • Aide Jia revived and declared that he would blow the entire place to pieces.

Ch. 541Cannot Be Opened from This Side

Aide Jia destroyed Stormveil Castle’s ballistae with a powerful modified fire spell, and You Fei’s group drew the castle’s defenders into a desperate chase. The adventurers escaped through a side passage as night fell, ending their first day exploring Zane Dungeon.

  • Aide Jia strengthened himself at Stormveil Castle’s gate and unleashed a fire dragon at the ballistae, which You Fei enlarged with her battle aura and magic power.
  • The blast destroyed the ballistae, and You Fei explained that Yuenka’s modified spells could convert battle aura into magic power.
  • You Fei’s group entered the gate and encountered Exiled Soldiers, Exiled Knights, an Omen Child, hunting hounds, and a White-Maned Lion.
  • The adventurers fled down a side path to escape the castle’s assembled defenders, while the White-Maned Lion crashed into the side gate and could not follow.
  • Gatekeeper Gostoc surveyed the wreckage as You Fei’s group raced through Stormveil Castle, and darkness fell over Zane Dungeon.

Ch. 542So-Called Demigods

You Fei and her companions escaped a mass pursuit through Stormveil Castle and took advantage of the scattered guards to explore further. They found a strange treasure and a gruesome slaughterhouse, where Luo Jieer appeared and identified the portrait of Godfrey, the First Elden Lord.

  • You Fei waited until the monsters crowded onto the elevator, then cut its rope and sent them crashing down, earning the group golden Runes.
  • After discovering that the dungeon was nearly closing, You Fei led the exhausted group onward while Stormveil Castle's enemies were still out of position.
  • Te Pi found a Mimic Veil whose description claimed Godrick had used it to escape Leyndell Royal Capital disguised as a woman, leaving the group doubtful of the demigod's reputation.
  • The group entered a slaughterhouse filled with severed limbs and found a dead Grafted Noble, then recognized Godfrey in a huge portrait.
  • Luo Jieer greeted the group and identified the portrait as Godfrey, the First Elden Lord and Godrick's ancestor.
