At the same time the next day, Hermione flawlessly completed the task Li Wei had assigned her, quietly gathering everyone on the list at the agreed location:
Outside the Room of Requirement on the corridor of the Seventh Floor of Hogwarts Castle.
"I didn't expect you to come too!"
"Didn't you come as well? If you ask me, Lockhart is a complete idiot. He doesn't know anything!"
"I'm starting to suspect he's a Squib!"
More than a dozen young wizards gathered together, chattering away while nervously glancing around, worried that Filch or another professor would come and catch them.
They were preparing to form a Secret Society and never attend Lockhart's Defense Against the Dark Arts classes again!
If studying here proved more effective, then whenever they encountered another unreliable Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in the future, they would skip class too!
"Hermione, why hasn't Li Wei arrived yet? I'm worried Professor McGonagall or Snape might suddenly show up!"
Harry frowned and cautiously asked Hermione. Ron and he had already conscientiously gone to stand watch at both ends of the corridor, deeply worried that the professors would find them.
"What's there to be afraid of?"
Hermione was utterly fearless. She looked up at Harry and said frankly,
"Even if the professors catch us, we can just say we were discussing where to go play later, then naturally disperse. We haven't done anything bad!"
Having spent so much time around someone like Li Wei, who was always stirring up trouble, Hermione had developed a strong heart herself. She had become a little fearless.
