The Dream's Aftermath

Grindelwald had come to teach at Hogwarts, of course, not to develop wizarding strength and bring it on par with Muggles.

Without an actual war having taken place, even Grindelwald could not determine which was stronger: the powerful magic wielded by the few wizards, or the technological power wielded by the numerous Muggles.

He had no clue how to develop the Wizarding World, nor was that something Grindelwald excelled at.

If it came to researching dark magic, reading people's hearts, delivering rousing speeches, plotting schemes, and staging coups, Grindelwald would never yield to anyone.

But asking him to bring sweeping change to the entire Wizarding World like a Muggle scientist, driving its leapfrog development as the Industrial Revolution had—

That was simply making things difficult for Grindelwald!

Fortunately, through the second Precognitive Dream, Grindelwald had foreseen that the Wizarding World would one day produce something called a Magic Machine!

He had even learned in the dream that its inventor was named Lee Wickens!

For a wizard of Grindelwald's caliber, knowing only a name was enough to roughly determine where the wizard associated with it was!
