Second-Year Speedrun

After the morning assembly in the Great Hall ended, Li Wei did not even bother going to class. He went straight to Headmaster Dumbledore and Scrimgeour, the head of the Auror Office.

"Headmaster, I read the news and looked into some secrets. Back then, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, James Potter, and Remus Lupin formed a group called the Marauders, right?"

"They used to be good friends, didn't they?"

Dumbledore was quite puzzled at being stopped. Why was Li Wei asking this?

Could he be furious over Sirius Black's betrayal, doubting friendship in his heart, and seeking answers for Harry?

"That's right, child! They were indeed friends, but Sirius Black chose betrayal. He sold their whereabouts to Voldemort. He even killed Peter Pettigrew and twelve Muggles, blowing up an entire street!"

Before Headmaster Dumbledore could answer, Scrimgeour spoke to Li Wei with a grave expression.

"But you needn't worry about safety. Dementors guard every entrance and exit of the school. The Ministry of Magic will surely bring that damned escaped criminal to justice and end his sinful life with a Dementor's Kiss!"

"Rufus, don't tell young wizards such frightening things." Headmaster Dumbledore frowned at those words, then turned curiously to Li Wei. "Li Wei, what are you trying to say by asking this?"

Before Headmaster Dumbledore and the head of the Auror Office, Li Wei excitedly revealed the truth.

"I only want to confirm whether the Marauders' code names were James Potter—Prongs, Sirius Black—Padfoot, Remus Lupin—Moony, and Peter Pettigrew—Wormtail?"

Hearing Li Wei's words, Headmaster Dumbledore was even more confused. He vaguely realized that some hidden truth seemed destined to come to light today!

"I discovered that Wormtail, Peter Pettigrew, isn't dead. His name still appears on this Map!"
