There were Doppelganger Wraiths.
There were vast swarms of Meatworm Wraiths, Mantis Entities, and Bamboo Pole Entities.
They piled atop one another.
Like a gigantic monster, they writhed across the narrow continent.
Or like an enormous maggot struggling on a piece of black chocolate.
When the five Heavenly Dao Cannons fired in unison.
Divine punishment descended.
Five searing pillars of light, seemingly capable of scorching the soul, matched the width of the Eternal Night Continent exactly. Skimming its edges like a razor-cut Blazing White Curtain, they swept out from Western Wasteland Island and engulfed the entire Eternal Night Continent faster than the eye could follow.
The Heavenly Dao Cannon.
The strongest defensive structure a first-level continent had any chance of acquiring.
Normally, access to this structure only became available after advancement to a second-level continent.
Now, it displayed its terrifying supremacy in full.
The Heavenly Dao Cannon possessed none of the Four Divine Cannons' attributes.
It had neither absolute target lock nor Absolute Death.
Yet the utterly pure Golden Light Pillars it unleashed effortlessly erased every Strange Tide on the Eternal Night Continent.
This was not a war.
