"I flew down. I didn't appear out of nowhere." Leon pointed at the sky. "You were too focused to notice."
"So what superpowers did you two awaken?"
Leon already knew the answer, but he raised his voice so Quicksilver could hear him from across the field.
Sure enough, Pietro came racing back with a trail of afterimages and skidded to a stop in front of Leon.
"Super speed and super strength!" He swept his thumb across the tip of his nose, beaming. "Those are my powers!"
"Heh. I'm way faster than sound now. You might not be faster than me anymore, Superman!"
Leon took a quick look with Super Vision.
Pietro's super speed
came with physical enhancements
on top of the ability itself.
His body was indeed much stronger than an ordinary person's now.
His metabolism had also sped up dramatically, greatly improving his recovery.
It wasn't regeneration like Wolverine's, though.
It was an accelerated version of an ordinary person's natural healing.
"Faster than me?" Leon couldn't help laughing. "The way you're acting, you want to race me?"
Pietro raised his chin. "Why not? Sure, you're Superman, and you can fly, but speed might not be your strong suit."
Pietro had only just gained his powers, and his confidence had gone through the roof.
He'd even forgotten that, in the comics he used to read,
Superman could sometimes keep up with Flash.
"Then how about this? You run, and I'll try to catch you." Leon put a hand on his hip. "We'll settle it that way."
"You sure?" Pietro tilted his head, but his gaze suddenly locked onto Leon's outfit.
The suit formed by Leon's Heavy Treasure wasn't skintight.
It looked more like Batman's armor.
Yet despite its angular design,
it still showed off the lines of Leon's muscles perfectly.
