Before Tony could react,
Nick Fury interlaced his fingers, braced his elbows on his knees, and leaned forward.
"Your father was a hero, Tony. He made many contributions to this world."
"And now, this world needs your help too."
"Will you become a hero like Howard, or will you keep being a playboy, playing at being Iron Man?"
"It's time to make a choice."
With that, he patted his backside and rose to his feet with difficulty. With Coulson beside him, he limped toward the door.
"I believe you'll make the right choice. Contact me when you've made your decision."
"You'll know how to reach me, right?"
The Black Braised Egg pulled his usual cool and aloof routine, speaking only halfway and leaving no chance for questions before mysteriously vanishing through the doorway.
Tony watched the two leave with a speechless look.
"Does he think he's a limping Forrest Gump? He wants to recruit people with nothing but his mouth?"
He spread his hands toward the armor beside him.
"Just like Leon said, that Black Braised Egg is an attention-seeking idiot."
"Using my father's things to curry favor? What a joke!"
Tony casually picked up the box from the table, but when his eyes fell upon its black casing, they carried a trace of remembrance and solemnity.
"Let's see what that old man was hiding and what he wanted to tell me."
He still remembered Leon saying that everything Howard wanted to say to him had been left inside this box.
Half an hour later.
When Tony returned to the laboratory, he was unusually silent.
His silence was written from his heart onto his face, every tiny expression steeped in memories.
