Tony began drafting designs with fighting spirit, while keeping an eye on Leon beside him.
He secretly checked on him and discovered that Leon was still studying the most basic mechanical structures.
A victorious smile appeared on his face ahead of time.
Having the motivation of competition really was different.
In just half an hour, Tony perfected the propulsion system that had been giving him headaches for the past two days. It was practically an explosion of inspiration.
Leon, meanwhile, had already finished studying exoskeleton knowledge and begun learning circuit construction.
Tony watched him for a moment and smiled smugly again.
He assumed Leon had backed down in the face of difficulty, unable to learn the exoskeleton knowledge and forced to switch directions.
"Did you find armor-related knowledge difficult to learn? It's fine. We can start with the easy stuff."
Tony spoke as if popping champagne at halftime. "Don't make things hard on yourself. If everyone in this world could learn knowledge so easily, what would geniuses be for?"
He waved a hand and resumed modifying the mechanical boots. "Don't worry. Once I've made the greatest armor, I can still consider letting you try it on."
At that moment, Tony had completely forgotten that Leon could fly.
He was utterly immersed in the joy of defeating his foolish little brother three days later.
As he modified the thrusters with Dum-E's assistance, he even began humming "Jingle Bells."
Leon ignored Tony's premature celebration.
He sat alone to one side, rapidly studying the teaching materials and comprehensive papers JARVIS had prepared for him.
If Tony had walked behind Leon at that moment and looked at the display in front of him,
he would definitely have slapped himself for his earlier smugness.
Because lines of text and charts on that screen were flashing past at a speed so fast they blurred.
Yet Leon's gaze remained fixed on the first line of text and chart that appeared each time.
—The display switched text more slowly than Leon could read and comprehend it!
Leon needed only thirty seconds to finish a university-level textbook.
He needed only half an hour to become a comprehensive theoretical expert in a specialized field.
If there had been a system capable of grading the knowledge an individual possessed,
then one could have seen level-up icons constantly popping up above Leon's head.
Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4...
Then Tony could have foreseen that his younger brother had already become a player with cheats enabled.
Unfortunately, there were no ifs.
When three hours had passed,
and Leon finally stood up, feeling that he had accumulated a sufficient foundation of knowledge,
Tony was conducting his thirteenth propulsion device experiment.
By now, Tony could hover in the air fairly steadily.
Struggling to maintain his balance, he glanced at Leon. "Well, look who's here. Could it be that our little Leon has finally realized how difficult learning is and come to surrender and beg his big brother Tony for mercy?"
Leon gave him an inscrutable smile and adjusted the nonexistent glasses on his nose.
"No. I've finished learning the necessary knowledge. Now I'm here to join your research."
Tony paused, then spoke with amusement. "Perfect. You may not be able to help me much, but you can at least carry some heavy equipment."
He slowly descended from the air, staggering slightly after landing before regaining his footing.
"Come with me. The propulsion system is basically finished. Now we can start making the armor for the other parts."
Tony had already decided that victory was assured, so he began throwing himself wholeheartedly into building the armor.
He methodically arranged the remaining work.
"Leon, bring down the titanium alloy and gold. Dum-E, hold the magnifying glass steady."
The two quickly began working together to build the armor.
Throughout the process, Tony was the one giving orders most of the time.
Leon occasionally asked a few questions.
Tony, having entered a focused state, did not find anything strange about it.
He worked while explaining, holding nothing back.
Although he seemed to think his little brother was rather stupid, he still appeared to want him to learn more of his skills.
"There, that position is wrong. You need to go around from this side and start here, or there'll be a short circuit."
"Aha, you must be joking. How could something with such a large load capacity possibly have a transformation device installed?"
"Very good. The flight stabilizer can be installed here."
"Leon, your strength is an excellent tool for assembling and crafting equipment. I'd say you're even more useful than a hydraulic press."
"I should've had you come down and help me days ago."
For an entire day and a whole night, the two worked on building the armor.
With Leon's help, the assembly and manufacture of the components were both precise and efficient.
For example, if Tony suddenly needed a component with IT-grade precision, he would previously have had to wait for the factory to deliver it.
But that night, Leon only needed to swing his fist to give him a part even better than IT-grade.
"Excellent!" Tony's dark circles had turned into eye bags, yet his large eyes still shone brightly.
The armor, which would originally have taken a month or even several months to build and calibrate,
was eighty percent complete overnight with Leon's help.
Tony was more energized than ever.
All he needed was one final push, and he could put on the new armor and soar through the skies.
Out of habit, he gave another order. "Leon, go make another current loop. Next, we only need to connect JARVIS's system and conduct assembly tests to complete the final step."
However, the answer he received was something else.
"No, Tony. I'm leaving," Leon refused.
"What are you talking about? Why are you leaving?" Tony's eyes widened.
Leon spread his hands. "Did you forget? I said I would build armor better than Mark within three days."
"And now that I've learned all your skills, of course I won't stay here."
"Besides, the final steps of building your armor won't be too troublesome. You can handle them yourself."
"So I'm leaving. See you in three days, Tony." Leon waved. "I'm going to your lab. If you need anything, come upstairs and find me."
"What?" Tony's mind filled with question marks. "You're really going to build armor yourself? What kind of joke is that? With your ordinary... Wait."
Tony suddenly remembered.
During the night that had just passed,
the questions Leon had asked while assisting him had gradually gone from simple at first to increasingly profound later on, even giving Tony quite a few inspirations.
The hands-on work had been the same. At first, Leon had been clumsy, but later he had handled everything with ease.
In other words, Leon had really learned all that professional knowledge!
Tony was shocked by the memories that had suddenly resurfaced.
He had been so absorbed and intensely focused on work last night that he had not noticed.
But now that he thought about it, Leon had clearly gone from a complete mechanical novice to a mechanical expert in a single night.
An expert who might not even be weaker than Tony himself!
"Your learning speed! Th-this is the super brain?" Tony was utterly stunned as he dropped into a chair.
What was this supposed to be? A super brain could be this unreasonable? This was cheating!
