Barry Wanted to Rebuild the Justice League

In Leon's impression, Gotham was a city steeped in crime.

The city was wrapped in an atmosphere of decadent luxury. Beneath the mist that hung over it at night, murderous intent and insane laughter lurked everywhere.

Calling this city Gotham was not really fitting.

You could just as well call it Batman, or Two-Face, Penguin, Joker...

They were all labels for this city: darkness, chaos, greed, and madness.

That was, if this were Gotham in a normal DC Universe.

If Leon went out for a stroll at night in his suit, some guy in ridiculous makeup might come up and ask him, "Why so serious?"

Of course, a Batmobile might also drift to a stop in front of him, and the Dark Knight could push open the door, step out, and ask him, "Do you bleed?"

But in this rebooted universe...

Gotham's nights were lively, peaceful, and thriving.

Even the sewage flowing through the sewers seemed to bubble with the sound of peace.

Tony and Leon looked out over the city from a room in Gotham's tallest hotel.

The entire city was ablaze with lights, and the cars traveling across the overpasses resembled fireflies gathering into rivers.

"It's been three days, and I still can't believe this is Gotham."

Tony was somewhat depressed. "The Batman here is actually the one played by Michael Keaton. He doesn't have a no-killing rule."

Keaton's Batman and Batman Returns had been released in 1989 and 1992 respectively, and they existed in Marvel too.

Tony had watched both of them before coming here.

"What's so strange about that? Once the Flash is involved, anything can happen."
