Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the other superheroes plunged into a chaotic battle with Darkseid.

Darkseid opened with his Omega Beams.

The relentless beams chased after the two fastest among them: Superman and Flash.

Both were ready.

One after the other, they led the beams straight into Granny Goodness and Desaad.

Darkseid killed his two trusted lieutenants with his own hands.

Furious, Darkseid got even angrier.

He was only slightly stronger than Henry Superman fresh out of the sun.

Without the Anti-Life Equation, the Omega Beams were the only thing he had that could threaten Superman.

So Darkseid fired his Omega Beams again and again.

Magic? Summoned creatures from Hell? The power of Shazam's six gods? Omega Beams for all of them!

Darkseid held off the entire group without even moving from where he stood.

But every time, Wonder Woman or Superman blocked his Omega Beams.

Wonder Woman had her indestructible Guardian Silver Bracelets.

Superman countered with Heat Vision or took the beams with his body.

They were the only two on the team who could effectively stop the Omega Beams.

Yet even with her divine artifacts and his special protection, repeated hits left them both badly wounded.

"Batman! Batman! Are you done over there?" Barry pressed a hand to the communicator at his ear.

"Ready. Sixty seconds until every Hell Spore fires! Everyone, pull out!" Batman's order reached every device.

"We can't! Darkseid has Superman and the others pinned down!" Barry said anxiously.

"I'll hold him off!"

Batman dropped from the sky in the Hellbat Armor.

He caught the gap between Darkseid's furious volleys of Omega Beams.

Seizing his chance, he used the armor's mobility to engage Darkseid
