After the battle, they took stock of their losses.
Dormammu and the others discovered that fewer than a thousand of the more than ten thousand Universal Level beings remained. Of the more than three hundred Multiversal Level beings, only around two hundred were left.
It was the deadliest and most perilous crisis in the history of the Multiverse.
Multiversal Level fighters had all kinds of ways to revive, but Universal Level fighters had far fewer options.
For many of them, once their souls were destroyed, even those methods would no longer work.
Just as they were about to celebrate sealing Below All and saving the Multiverse, a voice suddenly rang in everyone's ears.
"Congratulations, everyone. Hahaha..."
At the sound of that laughter, everyone's expression changed. They turned toward the area beyond the Hell Gate.
At some point, more than a hundred black Celestials had surrounded them. Kelan stood at their head.
"Celestials! How dare you come here? Aren't you afraid of the Celestials—"
The speaker stopped. Everyone had remembered that the Celestials were dead.
With no Celestials to keep them in check, the Celestials had nothing to fear.
Realizing this, the demon gods drifted back and huddled together.
In a corner no one noticed, Nightmare's figure suddenly blurred and vanished.
The other Dimension Lords, Immortals, and Gods hurried to open spatial passages and escape.
Below All had been sealed. Above All would no longer step in to wipe this place clean, so there was no reason to fight the Celestials to the death.
But after several attempts, they found they could not open a passage, no matter how hard they tried.
The Celestials had clearly tampered with the surrounding space. Somehow, only Nightmare had managed to escape.
"You can't run. This Multiverse belongs to us."
With that, the Celestials charged.
