Lin Aotian's face was filled with terror.
"What's going on? Why can't I move?"
Before he could think any further, his consciousness plunged into darkness.
A moment later, he raised his head, his eyes cold and composed.
He frowned at the women behind him who were still urging him on.
"Useless Host. All he knows how to do is collect women. How unlucky did I have to be to choose a Host like this?"
The one controlling this body now was not Lin Aotian, but the system.
Clearly, the system could no longer stand its Host's behavior and had decided to act personally.
That was why the system had issued a mission to flee without saying that they actually needed to escape the universe.
It had intended to take matters into its own hands from the start.
But the next moment, Lin Aotian, now controlled by the system, suddenly frowned.
"Oh no. Have they already noticed me?"
The system sensed an unseen gaze lock onto it, hidden deep within its Host's soul.
"Those lackeys have noses sharper than dogs!"
With that, it made Lin Aotian raise his head and look into the endless universe ahead.
It seemed to see through the Cosmic Barrier to a gigantic figure outside the universe: a Watcher.
Systems like it hid deep within their Hosts' souls and appeared in the form of systems not out of some strange preference, but to avoid the Watchers' attention.
After all, the powers behind those Watchers had reached Transcendence.
And systems like them were Parasites, so they would naturally be erased.
But after waiting a while, the system felt no sign of being erased. Evidently, the Transcendence-level being had not acted.
