Mu Yun was curious about how the Liu Family's Spirit Channeling Secret Realm differed from the Waterwood Secret Realm.

Before they came, though, Liao Ding had told him a few things to keep in mind when visiting a Family Secret Realm.

For example, he shouldn't wander off on his own after entering.

"Most people can't, but you'll be fine."

Liu Hesheng said, "You have an unusual Constitution. Your vitality burns like a furnace, so ordinary Ghost-type Pokémon won't dare come near you. As for Miss Qu beside you, I wouldn't recommend that she stay in this Secret Realm for long."

This was the first time Mu Yun had heard that a strong Constitution could protect someone from Ghost-type Pokémon.

But if that was what it took, how did the Liu Family manage?

They couldn't all have unusual Constitutions.

Perhaps guessing what puzzled Mu Yun, Liu Hesheng continued:

"Of course, that requirement mainly applies to outsiders. Generations of living alongside Ghost-type Pokémon have given us Liu Family members some affinity with them, even those of us who haven't awakened a talent."

"Most old, established families share this trait. It's one reason so many of them specialize in a particular type."

Mu Yun nodded.

It sounded as though generations of exposure had steeped the family in that type until its Pokémon treated them as their own.

"So, want to look around?"

Liu Hesheng invited him again.

Mu Yun raised an eyebrow. "Your grandfather didn't put you up to this, did he?"

He knew Liu Hesheng well enough. The man wasn't lazy, but he wasn't usually so eager that he'd invite someone again and again.

The repeated invitations certainly sounded like an assignment.

"You figured it out."

Liu Hesheng looked relieved. He came clean at once:
