"???"
Watching the freshly formed Twister abruptly fall apart, Yu Bo wore the baffled expression of an old man squinting at his phone on the subway.
Wait, where did my huuuge Twister go?
How did it just disappear?
Red Gyarados was equally dumbfounded. He never suspected anyone had interfered with him, merely assuming his anger had gone to his head and thrown off his control of the move.
So he wasted no time trying to mobilize the energy inside his body again.
Yet the energy that had always obeyed his every command now seemed to have hit menopause early—he couldn't touch it or get anywhere near it.
"Roar?"
(Why can't I use my energy?)
Red Gyarados sank into thought.
Over their encrypted channel: "Big Bro, this big guy doesn't seem too bright."
Watching Red Gyarados remain silent without suspecting him in the slightest, even the normally composed Patrick couldn't help chuckling.
This poor fool. Such a big body, yet such a tiny brain.
"Gyarados, charge over and bite him!"
Just then, Yu Bo snapped out of his daze and immediately shouted.
He had thought he had seen through Starmie's move, but in the end, his own move had still failed.
Fortunately, his Gyarados was enormous. Even a Psychic-type Pokémon would struggle to control him completely.
"ROAR!!"
Hearing his Trainer's command, Red Gyarados immediately stopped fretting. With a shift of his body, he glided through the air toward Patrick.
Yet, perhaps it was his imagination, but his body felt strangely unfamiliar today. Even his swimming speed seemed much slower.
Am I sick?
That thought circled through Red Gyarados's mind.
Smack!!
Just then, a crisp slap rang out.
Red Gyarados stared at his own tail in disbelief.
For some inexplicable reason, it had just lashed him across the waist!
*This is mutiny!
