"Mu Yun, welcome to Sea Island!"
At the edge of Sea Island, Cangxi smiled as she introduced Mu Yun to their home.
"I never imagined there were other members of the Azure Sea Tribe in the Sea Realm. But I suppose it makes sense. Only your Red Gyarados is strong enough to cross the Sea Realm. Most of us on Sea Island never travel far from shore in our entire lives."
Cangxi led Mu Yun onward, speaking with open admiration.
"I just got lucky."
Mu Yun smiled.
After learning a little about Sea Island, Mu Yun used the Sea Language he had learned to pass himself off as an islander from the other end of the Sea Realm.
People reacted very differently to one of their own than to an outsider.
If he admitted he came from outside, Cangxi would probably be wary of him, even if he spoke the Sea Language.
"My master is at the Divine Shrine. I'll take you straight to him," Cangxi continued.
Mu Yun had explained his journey by saying he wanted to meet the high priest of another island.
Cangxi readily agreed to the request from her handsome savior.
Before long, Mu Yun followed Cangxi into Sea Island.
The buildings looked nothing like those of the outside world.
Many tourist islands preserved their natural scenery, but modern buildings inevitably appeared for visitors' convenience.
Sea Island was different.
It looked entirely untouched by industrial development.
There were wooden cabins, houses built from fired clay bricks, and even tree houses perched among thick trunks.
With most of the people around him dressed in animal skins, Mu Yun felt as though he had traveled back in time.
It seemed even less developed than the mainland had been in ancient times.
An island's resources were limited, after all.
