Naruto refused to accept it.
"So what if he's strict?"
"I'm Naruto! Once Kakashi-sensei shows up, I'll surround him with Shadow Clones and smash his test props!"
Sakura frowned.
"Could you stop thinking about charging straight in every time you open your mouth?"
Naruto argued back:
"What's wrong with charging in?"
"A real man defeats his enemies head-on!"
"Do you think this test is just a chance to show off?"
Sakura planted her hands on her hips in frustration.
"Kakashi-sensei is a Jonin, and no ordinary Jonin, either. When he used the Body Flicker Technique yesterday, you couldn't even catch a glimpse of him."
"If you rush in alone, you'll definitely be the first one eliminated!"
Naruto opened his mouth.
"W-well, we can't just do nothing, can we?"
"Of course we have to do something."
A voice came from nearby.
Naruto and Sakura turned at the same time.
Sasuke Uchiha slowly walked into the training ground with both hands in his pockets.
He was still dressed in dark clothes, his expression aloof and his pace unhurried.
The sunlight on his face did nothing to soften his unapproachable air.
Naruto shouted.
"Sasuke!"
"Why are you only getting here now?"
"We've been waiting forever!"
Sasuke glanced at him.
"It's not even noon yet."
Naruto choked on his words.
"What do you mean, it's not even noon yet?"
"We were told to meet at seven!"
Ignoring his complaints, Sasuke walked over to them and looked up at the sun.
"Kakashi won't come this early."
Sakura froze.
"How do you know?"
Sasuke spoke.
"I asked Itachi last night."
Naruto and Sakura both looked at him.
Sasuke continued:
"Kakashi used to be Minato-sensei's student."
"Itachi said he has a serious habit of showing up late."
"Unless it's an urgent mission, he'll usually delay on purpose
