"Yes, kill him!" the green-robed Firmament confirmed. "Or, if you can't, you'll have to repay me with two Primal Chaos Fruits, or the corpses of two Chaos Lives like these."

Luo Feng was stunned to hear him confirm it.

Firmament's illusory consciousness actually wanted Luo Feng to kill Firmament himself. Whether Luo Feng could do it was beside the point. An illusory consciousness plotting to kill its true self made no sense. Did Firmament's true self not know about this?

Or was it as the green-robed Firmament had said? Could he cultivate on his own and develop an independent consciousness?

"Don't be surprised, and don't doubt it. If you want the answer, you may get your chance when you meet him," the green-robed Firmament replied with a smile.

"When you reach his level of strength, don't worry if you can't kill him. Even if you fail, obtaining two Chaos Life corpses will be easy enough. This won't weigh on your mind." Seeing Luo Feng's concern, the green-robed Firmament added this reassurance.

Luo Feng nodded slightly. He was indeed worried.

Kill Firmament? To Luo Feng, it was a mad demand. He did not have to swear a supreme oath, but the stronger one became, the more sensitive one was to the bonds of karma. Countless people had found themselves unable to advance another step because of them.

If Luo Feng gained the strength but failed to kill Firmament, it could weigh heavily on his future, even giving rise to inner demons. Unless he overcame them, further progress would be all but impossible.

If he could settle the debt another way, the terms were much easier to accept. After all, if he truly reached Firmament's level of strength, obtaining two Chaos Life corpses should be within his power.
