God Emperor Doom

An eerie silence settled over the Illuminati's hall. Only the faint sound of breathing could be heard.

Tony Stark's brow tightened. He had learned too much in too little time and had no chance to process it.

His gaze moved between Xiao Han and Knull, as though he might spot a flaw in one of these mysterious figures.

"So."

Tony broke the silence, his voice startlingly loud in the quiet room.

"Let me get this straight."

He stood and snapped his fingers. A holographic display appeared instantly. After a few quick adjustments, he brought up a complex mind map.

"First, the Universe Collision Crisis is an experiment run by an advanced civilization called the Beyonders, apparently for nothing more than entertainment."

"Second, when we blew up the Earths of Parallel Universes, we saved ourselves, but we also helped them destroy the Multiverse, step by step."

"Third, besides us, Doctor Doom, a future, corrupted version of Doctor Strange, and some Cartographer are all mixed up in this."

Tony's finger stopped in midair. He turned to Xiao Han.

"Did I miss anything?"

Xiao Han tilted his head. "That's about it."

"So."

Tony's voice was dry, edged with helplessness.

"We thought we were saving the universe. All along, we were just struggling inside an experiment designed from the start."

"And working our hardest to move it along!" Black Panther added, his voice low.

Beast Hank took off his glasses and rubbed hard at his reddened eyes.

"This is... this turns everything we know upside down more than Darwin's theory of evolution did."

Knull stood to one side, his pale face still cold, though turmoil raged within him.

How does this Xiao Han know so much? Knowing about the Beyonders is one thing, but now he seems like some all-knowing, all-powerful mystery man!
