Even more despairingly, they could fire miniature Pym Particles beams, shrinking the heroes one by one before imprisoning them in energy cages!
Doctor Strange and Wanda had already found a spell that could reverse the situation. They flew into the sky and were preparing to cast it together.
But Nova, the idiot teammate, charged toward one of the Sentinels to cover for them.
His reckless attack not only failed to have any effect, but instead caused the Sentinel to fall to the ground.
And in doing so, it happened to discover Doctor Strange and Wanda chanting their spell!
Two Pym Particles beams shot out instantly.
The plan had failed.
During the battle that followed, Iron Man was struck head-on by a Sentinel's energy cannon while protecting Spider-Man, falling into a deep coma.
