The Troublesome "Yarlin" (Bonus Chapter)

Seeing Yelika like this, Sifa quickly made his decision: he would try to drive "Yarlin" out of her. If he could separate them, all the better. If not, he would have to destroy the girl along with him.

Sifa immediately pulled a tin flask from his pocket and tossed it over Yelika's head. All three of the possessed girl's eyes looked dazed and numb. Sifa had the sense that "Yarlin" was incomplete, somehow diminished.

The girl in the coffin looked up at the flask above her. A flash of crimson streaked past. A Fire Crow formed from flame swooped in and struck the flask, bursting into fire and shattering it. Holy Water rained down into the wooden coffin and over Yelika.

The girl screamed. As she screamed, her young female voice turned into a deep male one.

Phantom smoke rose from her body, but the thing inside her did not leave after a single flask of Holy Water. Yelika stood up in the coffin, clutching what appeared to be a humerus in one hand. Dense symbols covered the bone; it was likely an artifact of the Terrence Family.

But it did not look like the "black-green bone" his sister had described. It was plainly grayish white.

Yelika gripped the humerus like a scepter and pointed it at Sifa.

The spirits crowding around the coffin rushed at Sifa in their own ways, like soldiers obeying an order.

Unhurried, Sifa uncapped another bottle of Holy Water and splashed it around him. The dead let out ghostly shrieks where it struck them, then vanished into the air.

At the same time, Sifa snapped his fingers. Several streams of fire shot out and landed precisely where he had placed the matchboxes, sending crimson flames up from those corners to light the graveyard.

Inside the
