By the time he got home, it was already late at night.

Sifa climbed in through the window with difficulty, then let himself sit on the floor to rest. Only after recovering a little strength did he struggle back to his feet. He changed out of his clothes first, then dressed his wounds. Finally, the moment he lay down on the bed, he fell into a deep sleep.

Exhausted in both body and mind, wounded inside and out, he slept heavily until he felt sunlight shining on him and reluctantly opened his eyes.

His eyelids seemed to weigh a thousand pounds. It took him quite a while to fully wake up.

After lying in bed for a little while, Sifa finally sat up and discovered that someone had moved a chair to his bedside and was sprawled over his bed, sleeping soundly.

Sifa froze for a moment, then a smile spread across his lips.

He reached out and tousled that golden hair. "Wake up."

Helibel pushed away her brother's hand and mumbled, "Don't make so much noise. Let me sleep a little longer."

Suddenly.

She opened her eyes and sprang up as if shocked by electricity. She first stared at Sifa, then her eyes reddened slightly. "That's wonderful, you're awake. I was so afraid..."

She promptly swallowed the rest of her words.

Sifa chuckled. "What, were you afraid I wouldn't wake up?"

The golden-haired girl nodded almost imperceptibly, then said, "Wait here, I'll make you breakfast!"

"Breakfast?"

Sifa shuddered. "No need. I'll just have Matthew prepare breakfast."

"No!"

"I'll make you mushroom soup. It'll help you regain your strength quickly." Helibel simply would not listen to Sifa. Her golden ponytail swung through the air as she charged toward the kitchen full of energy.

"Maybe I should run away instead?" Thinking
