But when he opened it, he stared in disbelief. Inside was a compass. Of all the things he had expected, that was not one of them.
If there was anything special about it, it was probably the gold casing and the Feathered Serpent design on its lid. But Sifa sensed no Spirituality from it, which meant it was unlikely to be a Mystical Item.
More importantly, it seemed to be broken. The needle would not stop spinning.
"I don't get it. The most important burial offering is a compass?"
Sifa looked at the coffin lid again. "The person buried here was searching for something while he was alive. Could this compass be the key? Did he believe it could lead him to something important?"
With that thought, Sifa put the compass away. Even if nothing came of it, he could keep it as a memento.
