At noon the next day, Saturday, the Wavebreaker entered a port to resupply.
After lunch in the dining hall, Sifa went to the captain's cabin and knocked before entering.
In his office, Ken Angus stood by the window, watching the Sailors busily carry supplies onto the Wavebreaker. On his desk, Sifa spotted a cup filled with a dark crimson liquid that gave off a faint glow, like churning magma.
Sifa was no stranger to it. He knew it was the Pyromaniac potion.
"Your potion has been prepared. Drink it. I'll watch over you here. If anything happens, I can intervene in time." The captain turned and gestured to Sifa.
Sifa nodded, walked over, and picked up the cup of potion.
Although the Watcher had told him that drinking another potion would not cause him to lose control on the spot, Sifa was still somewhat nervous when the moment came. But Ken found that perfectly normal. Every Beyonder felt nervous when advancing; he had been no exception.
After steadying himself, Sifa tipped back his head and slowly drank the potion.
Perhaps because he had already drunk one potion before, Sifa did not feel anything wrong after drinking this one. At most, he felt slightly dazed, but he quickly adjusted through meditation.
"How is it?" the captain asked.
Sifa pretended to close his eyes, as if sensing his new powers and the additional knowledge in his mind, then raised a hand.
Whoosh~
Orange-red flames abruptly leaped up in his palm.
Ken smiled. "Very good. You've successfully advanced. In that case, you can get lost now."
Sifa opened his eyes, dismissed the flames, and said, "I still need a day or two to familiarize myself with the Pyromaniac's powers. After that, I'll begin the operation."
"By the way, Captain, where are we now?"
