Feeling several drops of sticky blood falling from the tip of his nose, the Hanging-Eyed Man had yet to fully recover from the "Wraith Shriek." Suddenly, all reason vanished from his vacant eyes, and he radiated madness. Using a Beyonder Ability, he received an all-around enhancement.

But at that moment, several Ice Arrows came shooting in, piercing the Hanging-Eyed Man's body one after another and leaving teacup-sized bloody holes in his back.

Before blood could even gush from the wounds, it was frozen by frost. Then a Fireball compressed to the size of an eyeball, blazing white all over, flew over and plunged into one of the bloody holes.

Before the Hanging-Eyed Man could react, he felt a tremor—a shockwave that seemed capable of scattering even his soul—erupt from within his body.

He instantly lost consciousness.

After all, someone whose upper body had been blown to pieces could not possibly retain something like consciousness.

Because the explosion occurred inside the body, the commotion was far smaller. Still, blood and flesh smeared the entire corridor, and an eyeball was even stuck to the ceiling of the passage.

"Wraith Shriek for control, Ice Arrow to break defenses, Compressed Fireball for the kill. That combo's pretty good." Sifa raised his head, the dark flames in his eye sockets flickering. "It's about time to enter the second act."

He floated upward and vanished into the cabins.

Shortly afterward, the few pirates remaining on deck also became corpses. At this point, only Captain Quinte and Second Mate Achilles remained aboard the entire pirate ship.

His state changed abruptly. His body went from translucent to intensely solid, his previously proportionate frame swelling by a size and brimming with power. Yet his skin also took on a sinister
