A Carefully Planned Ambush (Please Subscribe)

With no time to think it through, Sifa continued pushing open the bar's door. At the same time, flames sprang up beneath all three men's feet. The attack caught them completely off guard. The man hiding behind the door screamed as he rolled around, slapping at the flames on his body in an attempt to put them out.

The other two instinctively backed away as the sudden flames burned them, giving Sifa an opening to press the attack. A long whip of fire flicked out from his hand, its length studded with sharp barbs!

Crack.

Sifa lashed a bearded man, shredding his clothes and leaving his skin bright red.

Crack, crack.

Sifa struck the other man as well, knocking the revolver from his hand and sending his hat flying. The blows left deep lash marks on his hand and forehead.

Sifa had not forgotten the man by the door. Fire flared and formed a Fire Snake, which darted toward him. Just as the man finally managed to beat out the flames on his body, the Fire Snake bit him, then coiled around his leg. With a flash, flames burst in every direction. The man screamed and fell, striking his head against the corner of a nearby chair and knocking himself unconscious.

The other two stirred up chaos and escaped through the bar's windows. Sifa was about to pursue them, intending to root out whoever was behind this, just as he had on Skye Island.

He did not think those three were the masterminds. They were far too weak. They might not even have been Beyonders.

Yet they had been able to lie in wait at the bar ahead of time. That meant someone else outside was watching him and reporting his whereabouts and every move.
