Not far from the harbor, a fishing boat was on its way back. It had made a full catch that day, and every fisherman aboard wore a smile. Several old fishermen had already taken out the cheap liquor they brewed themselves and begun celebrating.

"You'll die from alcohol sooner or later." The fishing boat's fierce-looking captain, with two thick eyebrows slanting upward, warned his old companions with venomous words.

Suddenly, the youngest fisherman aboard cried out, "Captain, look! There's someone in the sea."

The captain hurried to the edge of the deck and looked in the direction the young fisherman pointed. Sure enough, a figure was floating on the surface. It appeared to be a woman.

"Captain, let's go save her!" the young fisherman said nervously.

But the fierce-looking captain turned and walked away without looking back. "Mind your own business, Roy, if you still want to go home and see your mother."

Unable to understand, the young fisherman shook his head at the captain and prepared to jump into the sea to save her.

A hand tightly gripped his arm.

He turned around and saw that it was the most experienced old fisherman on the boat.

The old man, nearly sixty, had skin darkened by the sun and only a few hairs left on his head, but his teeth were still white. "What are you doing?"

"Saving her, of course!" Roy said angrily. "The captain doesn't want to meddle, but I do!"

The old fisherman grinned. "The captain has his reasons for not getting involved. Look carefully, Roy. Don't you find the way that 'person' is floating strange?"

Roy froze for a moment and looked out to sea at the "person" in the water. Through the waves, he could see her fair skin and her proudly
