As Sifa spoke, flames burst from his palm, burning away the scroll case. He gripped Ghost Scream inside it.
Just then, a chill swept through his body, leaving him unable to move. Sifa blinked rapidly and activated Spirit Vision. He saw several pale, almost transparent phantoms gripping his hands and feet, immobilizing him.
The woman across from him showed little expression on her beautiful, eerily alluring face. She tilted her head slightly, and Sifa suddenly felt an itch on the back of his hand. The black curse mark he had thought was gone began spreading rapidly again.
But something seemed to obstruct it. Once it grew to the size of a coin, it abruptly shrank.
The woman across the room looked visibly startled. In the end, the black curse mark remained the size of a fingertip, neither growing nor shrinking.
Sifa immediately understood. This woman was probably using the black curse mark to track him!
