After reading a few pages of Spirit World Notes, Sifa used meditation to soothe the agitation and confusion in his mind. During the process, he discovered that much more of the barrier between him and the potion had vanished. Once again, the potion showed clear signs of digestion.
At this rate, he would soon finish digesting the remaining Pyromaniac potion.
Hmm, this should be thanks to that fire on Yedga Island. But that's strange. It was much smaller than the fire I set in Backlund's East Borough when I was planning to assassinate the Intis ambassador.
Yet the progress in digesting the potion was much greater this time.
Why was that?
Sifa rubbed his brow in thought. Suddenly, inspiration struck, and he said in realization, "Could it have something to do with the severity of the disaster?"
"Back in Backlund, although the fire I set was fairly large, I had taken precautions against it spreading, so the losses it caused the nearby residents were actually quite small."
"As for Yedga Island, although that fire did limited damage to the buildings themselves, its consequences... the consequences for Yedga and the Rose School were extremely severe."
"I disrupted their sacrifice and brought a serious 'disaster' upon them. And because those involved included a Sequence 7 Beyonder and a demigod, their 'feedback' was more intense, allowing the potion to digest faster!"
If that's the case, one more similar 'performance' should let me digest the potion completely.
"I'm still missing Human-Faced Lion blood. I'll ask the captain later. Maybe she knows where I can get this supplementary ingredient."
Sifa thought of something else. He took out his pocket watch, opened the cover, and looked at Christie's photograph inside. "Have you learned enough about that devil?"
In the photograph, the beautiful woman, who looked not
