Before long, it was time to visit the Emerald Garden.
Before ten that morning, a long queue had already formed at the garden entrance. Brochures for the Emerald Garden were available at every inn in Faust, so it attracted plenty of visitors.
Cattleya wore a black robe, though not her usual one. She had changed into an ordinary, classical robe without any magical markings. With a pointed magician's hat on her head and glasses on her face, she looked like a seasoned occult enthusiast.
To avoid attracting attention, Frank Lee also wore a male magician's robe and carried a wooden staff bought from a shop, supposedly modeled after the staffs used by ancient elven court magicians.
The two stood among the crowd without drawing any attention. When the garden opened for tours, they held their tickets and followed the people ahead of them into the grounds, one step at a time.
Once inside, the visitors were divided into groups, with different guides leading them down separate paths.
As the former residence of the High Elves, the Emerald Garden occupied nearly half the Old Elven Capital. Even though only some of its buildings were open to tourists, it was spacious enough to accommodate one or two hundred visitors with ease, provided they did not all crowd into one place.
Cattleya and Frank did not choose a particular group. They simply joined fifteen or twenty others behind a white-haired elderly woman whose build was still imposing, listening as she introduced aspects of ancient elven daily life and culture.
As the residence of the High Elves, the Emerald Garden was far grander and more exquisite than the streets outside. Its buildings predominantly featured spires and asymmetrical designs, with intricate, beautiful carvings adorning the arches and buttresses. Exterior corridors encircling buildings and elevated stone
