Dean Wengris smiled and nodded. "You guessed right."
"I agree that Katarina wouldn't trade the Conqueror Beyonder characteristic for you, but you're a stain on the Demoness Sect."
"As long as you exist, people will question the Demoness Sect, so they're bound to want you eliminated."
"Before, you were alone and powerless. Katarina could hunt you down without any reservations."
"But now that we've intervened, she'll have to think things over. I believe she'll contact me soon."
"As far as I know, Katarina is currently the Demoness Sect's representative in Backlund."
"If we can capture her, I believe she'll hand over the Conqueror characteristic to save her own life."
"However, we might have trouble holding a Demoness of Unaging on our own."
"But with your help as a fellow Demoness, I think it would be much easier."
"What do you say, Miss Trissy? Interested in working with me?"
"Once Katarina falls into my hands, no one will be able to stop you from leaving Backlund."
Trissy didn't answer immediately. Instead, she considered and weighed the gains and losses from every angle. After a moment, she spoke.
"If I wanted to leave Backlund, Katarina certainly couldn't stop me."
"It seems you still don't know enough about me."
Dean chuckled and put his hat back on. "Then the information is true?"
"You really stayed in Backlund to avenge that prince?"
Trissy abruptly raised her head and stared at the demigod of the Iron and Blood Cross Order.
"I didn't quite believe it at first, either. I never expected you to actually fall in love with that prince."
As though he hadn't noticed Trissy's murderous gaze, Dean continued, "For a Demoness, your actions truly surprised me."
"If you want to avenge that prince, you have all the more reason to work with me."
