This was hardly a good place to hold a descent ritual. For all anyone knew, the middle-aged man picking his feet in the next room could be a Demi-God who didn't want an Evil God disturbing his peaceful life.
Thus, once the other party noticed such a ritual, they would very likely intervene during the preparation stage and destroy it.
Under such circumstances, the fact that the ritual was still going to be held—and that it had prompted the Leader to issue a corresponding mission—meant that the other party's ritual was extremely well concealed. At the very least, they had only learned the relevant intelligence so far and hadn't found the location where the ritual would be held.
