Odys was somewhat unwilling to accept it. He walked back and forth along the only street paved with stone slabs three times, yet still failed to find the Emerald Palace.
At that moment, Odys ran into Aria, who had just come out of a bar. She asked curiously, "What are you looking for?"
"The Emerald Palace." Odys sounded rather helpless.
Then he seemed to think of a solution. "Can you take me back?"
At first, Aria thought he was joking, but after seeing the serious expression on his face, she nodded. "All right."
More than twenty minutes later, Aria said, "This is really bizarre! We still can't find the Emerald Palace!"
Odys felt somewhat helpless. It seemed that having someone else take him back did not work either.
In other words, no matter what method he used, he could not reach his destination within two hours.
"Forget it." Odys said, "Let me buy you a drink."
Fortunately, he simply could not return to the Emerald Palace, the destination from when the negative effect had appeared. It was not as though he could not go anywhere at all.
Aria paused before saying, "Sure."
She smiled. "If I'd known, I wouldn't have drunk that glass of Black Storm earlier."
Black Storm was brewed from sugarcane and mangoes. It had a fruity fragrance, but its taste was also strong, making it a favorite among female pirates.
By then, Aria also understood that their inability to find the Emerald Palace was probably caused by one of Odys's items. Since Odys did not mention it, she did not ask.
After returning to the bar, Odys saw several familiar faces. Some were ship designers, while others were scholars from Lasha Island. They had all come here to chat and relax.
