The "Saintess" in the hall said, "As a show of good faith, I'll help you get what you've been searching for."
The voice behind Odys and Fors sounded curious. "You know what I'm looking for?"
"We once obtained some documents from the Abraham Family," the Saintess said. "Among them was a document describing a 'special storage' facility.
"We never understood what it referred to until we found a matching description in a batch of documents from the Southern Continent. We looked through the Abraham Family's records again and finally understood what you wanted."
The Saintess paused. "We learned that you asked a noble of the Second Solomon Empire to search for it.
"After it was found, you asked that noble to transport it through the Abraham Family's Teleportation Array so it wouldn't draw the Underworld Emperor's attention.
"Unfortunately, the War of the Four Emperors broke out. Mr. Door was suddenly sealed, the Abraham Family collapsed, and its members were hunted by numerous organizations.
"Places like this Beyonder Transit Station were stripped of everything worth taking. The Abraham Family members here were slaughtered, too.
"But what you wanted remained here. After the Underworld Emperor fell, you had no choice but to come and search for it yourself.
"The Beyonder mechanisms here are highly sophisticated, though. Without the station's internal records, you couldn't possibly find what you wanted."
That clears up the whole affair, Odys thought. Mr. Azik's recent appearance had drawn the Demoness Sect's attention to a batch of documents from the Southern Continent. They must have found something important in them, or a vital clue to something important.
Following those clues, they had discovered this muffled-voiced being. Records seized from the Abraham Family had told them about his current situation.
Judging by the scratches covering the walls, this being of
