For Egbert, captain of the Ghost, he could finally give an account to the faction that had provided him with the Ghost Ship. It wasn't that he hadn't tried; the enemy was simply too strong!

The pirate crew had numbered around four hundred. After two rounds of fighting, more than three hundred were dead!

At dawn, the Ghost's first mate, a Sequence 6 Spirit Guide, had led the pirates in a charge, only to die to the Argo's bizarre weapon.

Just when Egbert thought the Ghost was beyond the Argo's range, his spirituality suddenly warned him of danger. He hurriedly trained his telescope on the Argo.

He saw the Argo raising its Spirit Wave Cannon.

Egbert had no idea what the weapon was, of course, but his spirituality told him it was likely the source of the warning.

He immediately used the Ghost Ship to summon a Whale Spirit. The enormous, somewhat illusory whale leaped out of thin air and swallowed the Ghost and the other two ships.

As the Ghost departed, the thick fog blanketing Krus Island rapidly dispersed.

Press, who had remained at the harbor, hadn't seen the entire battle. But when he saw the Ghost and the other ships retreating, he knew the Sword of Dawn's pirate ship had won.

Without waiting for orders from Odys, he quickly gathered people and headed for Lighthouse Mountain to help.

They had barely left the harbor when someone in the group pointed out to sea and shouted, "Look!"

A new weapon had appeared on the Argo's deck.

The complicated-looking device extended two metal rods. Between them, the air gradually turned illusory, as though it were becoming solid.

Suddenly, a point of light that looked both illusory and solid shot out at tremendous speed.

Boom!

A deafening explosion followed!
