Odys thought it over and guessed that the woman whose eyes held such a world-weary look was probably one of the Moses Ascetic Order's current Ten Pillars.
Clearly, in the late Fourth Epoch or during the Fifth Epoch, the Church of the God of Steam and Machinery had seized one Gus Staff.
That more or less accounted for the whereabouts of the other nine Gus Staffs.
Four were suspected to be on other planets, two were in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, one was on a rain-soaked stretch of grass, and the last two were in the hands of Demi-Gods from the Church of Steam and the Moses Ascetic Order.
If he wanted to recover them, the staff on the rain-soaked grass seemed the easiest to retrieve.
Then Odys noticed something: there were ten Gus Staffs, and the Moses Ascetic Order had Ten Pillars. Was that a coincidence? Could each Pillar originally have held a Gus Staff?
That reminded Odys of his conversation with Theresa and the Sage's description of the Pillars.
It had struck him at the time because he felt those were not words anyone from the Lord of Mysteries World would say. He had even tentatively concluded that the Sage was a transmigrator too.
Odys had therefore guessed that the Knowledge Moor might have a structure similar to Sefirah Castle's for storing transmigrators, periodically sending one straight into the Real World.
But Odys could not work out who was trying to resurrect themselves through the Knowledge Moor.
It could not be God Almighty or the Celestial Worthy. Then who was it? Who else could use a Sefirah to achieve their goals?
Odys slapped his forehead. Once again, he had too few clues. He did not even know where to begin thinking.
Finally, Odys recalled Theresa's description
