Forsaken Land of the Gods, mountains south of the City of Silver.

Before Colin, the Demon Wolf that had used the Gus Staff seemed to have doubled its spirituality. Starlight flickered in its black eyes as it silently watched the human before it.

Stronger spirituality meant stronger abilities. Colin had been difficult to put to sleep before, but now his Light of Dawn might not be enough to resist.

After a breath or two of facing off, Colin slowly stepped back. He had no guarantee of victory if they kept fighting.

Colin had no intention of taking that risk. He would let the Demon Wolf go for now, return to the City of Silver, form a team of Demi-Gods with the other elders, and then hunt it down.

His sword was already stained with the Demon Wolf's blood. Finding its trail later would be easy.

Seeing Colin retreat, the Demon Wolf did not press the attack. Instead, it hurried away on its eight legs.

It had suddenly felt a bad premonition.

After taking only a few steps, the Demon Wolf whipped its head around to look at the Gus Staff in its grasp.

The staff had begun to shine even more brightly. A surge of power descended, and as though it had come alive, it tore free of the Demon Wolf's grip and floated into the air.

Then a towering figure descended.

Within the Knowledge Moor.

When Odys entered, Colin, the Chief of the City of Silver, had just begun fighting the Demon Wolf.

Once the Demon Wolf used the Gus Staff and its spirituality surged, Odys immediately realized that the Chief would not risk his life for the staff.

So Odys seized the Hermit card and the Elf King's Divine Blood beside him, then acted without hesitation.
