In a narrow alley in Trier, the Red Saintess Margaret appeared out of thin air. She immediately crushed a silver ring on her finger.
But she seemed to have lost the ability to move and could barely remain standing even with a hand against the wall.
Thank goodness for the charm the Emperor gave me. Otherwise, Lust really would have caught me, and I'd have gone through the same terrible ordeal as Katarina...
But why has so much of my strength been drained? My spirituality is almost exhausted too... Can that space absorb people's physical and mental energy?
The chaos there should last a while longer. Owen won't be able to catch up anytime soon...
And Daphne is nearby. Once she gets my signal, she'll be here soon.
The thought had barely crossed her mind when flames flashed before her eyes, and the Scholar of Yore Daphne appeared in front of her.
"What happened?" Daphne asked coolly. In truth, one glance was enough for her to know what Margaret had encountered. She had gone through something similar herself a few days ago.
"This isn't a good place to talk. Take me somewhere safe first," Margaret said weakly.
"All right." Daphne had already received instructions from Lord Oracle. She supported the Red Saintess and, after several Flaming Jumps, brought her into a Safe House prepared in advance.
After the Red Saintess Margaret used meditation to sleep deeply for an hour, she finally recovered most of her strength and mental energy.
Only then did she accept the coffee Daphne handed her. After taking a sip, she briefly recounted what had just happened:
"...In the end, I relied on an angel-level chaos charm to nullify the rules of that space and seize the chance to escape... Otherwise, I might already be Owen's puppet!"
