Audrey was in an exceptionally good mood, even better than usual. After a week of hard work, she had finally broken through the eighth floor of the Dream Labyrinth Tower, reached the seventh floor, and entered a real historical scene from more than a decade ago.
Unfortunately, she still hadn't been able to help the Tingen City Nighthawks uncover the truth and capture the Bloody Butcher who had murdered five girls...
But no matter what, she had finally defeated Conan once through her own efforts. That was quite an accomplishment.
In addition, her brother, Hibbert Hall, had sent her a telegram telling her to return to Backlund early to attend the ball being held at their home that evening and discuss the 10% stake in the Bicycle Company that Viscount Braine was selling on commission.
If it had been someone else, she wouldn't actually have needed to attend in person. She only needed to sign a power of attorney for her brother under a lawyer's witness, then at most sign a confirmation once everything was complete...
But according to her father's arrangements, buying Bicycle Company shares and being optimistic about their prospects was only part of the reason. More importantly, she was to befriend this newly elevated noble and persuade him to jointly establish an Academy Award for film and television.
"To gain Viscount Braine's agreement, I'll make some concessions and invest in his territory. Father will surely support that, won't he?"
Recalling Mr. Tower's request, Audrey's lips curved into an elegant smile. Only then did she rise to her feet and lead the others in greeting the figure shrouded in Gray Fog at the head of the Bronze Long Table:
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~"
May Mr. Fool bless me with clues about the Hallucinatory Wind Chime Tree fruit today...
