Having merged into the spirit world with the "Demoness" card and explored the outskirts of Calderón City for the first time, Klein returned to reality somewhat exhausted.
He raised a hand to rub his temple and silently mocked himself:
"Calderón City really is dangerous, and the 'Spirit World Marauder' is slippery enough...
"Fortunately, I used the 'Demoness' card and hid myself well enough. If I'd brought the 'Sea God Scepter' and the 'Tyrant' card, I might have charged in headfirst and caused a lot of unnecessary trouble...
"Hmm, now that I've confirmed the 'Spirit World Marauder's' location, next time I can gather enough people and go there together!"
No sooner had he thought this than he suddenly heard a knock on the door. The butler he had hired came in to report that an unfamiliar gentleman had come to visit him and his wife.
Visiting Dwayne and Daly together? Could he be a Nighthawk? Klein did not dare neglect the matter. After sending the butler to lead the visitor to the Reception Room, he immediately undid his Cuff Pendulum and performed a divination:
"It is dangerous for me to meet the visitor."
After silently repeating the divination statement seven times, he opened his eyes and saw the Yellow Crystal Pendant spinning counterclockwise.
That meant a negative answer. There was no danger.
Only then did Klein breathe a sigh of relief, straighten his clothes, and head downstairs to the Reception Room.
The moment he pushed open the door, he saw a man in a white shirt, black vest, and black trousers sitting on the sofa and drinking coffee, his hair somewhat disheveled.
It was Maric, whom he had not seen in a long time.
"Long time no see."
