In a small house in the Southern District near Backlund Bridge, Freya hummed an unfamiliar tune Aitris had taught her while packing her luggage.
The eighteen-year-old girl, who in the original story should have died alongside her mother in last year's Great Smog, had gradually regained a healthy glow and blossomed into her own charm thanks to her improved quality of life.
As she struggled to stuff her everyday belongings into the suitcase, the door suddenly swung open. Her younger sister, Daisy, who had just celebrated her fifteenth birthday, rushed in from outside.
"Daisy, come lend me a hand now that you're back!" Freya called.
"Coming!" Daisy put down her schoolbag and swiftly went to her sister's side, helping her flatten the clothes and close the suitcase.
"How was school?" Freya asked casually.
Since she had converted to the Earth Mother Goddess along with her mother, she could no longer attend the Church of Evernight's Free School.
