After making that quip to himself, Klein turned his thoughts to something else:
Over two hundred years ago... That would have been during Liu Bo's life as the Mechanical Emperor. Did he already know I'd come, so he left a Prophecy to give hope to the Survivors of the city-states that hadn't been on Morning Star City's migration route?
Hmm... The "Fool" in his Prophecy might not mean me specifically. It probably refers to whoever Sefirah Castle sent down...
Still, that works in my favor. It saves me a lot of time gaining their trust.
There may be similar Prophecies buried around the City of Silver, too. But its Beyonders are mostly Warriors, and those of other Pathways only reach Mid-Sequence at most. None of them can make Prophecies.
Elder Lovia might have gained that ability after becoming a Demigod, but the True Creator might not want her to "hear" them.
As his thoughts turned, Klein tentatively asked High Priest Nim about the congealed fog.
Perhaps it was because Klein had called himself a missionary of the Fool. Perhaps healing their deformities had shown the Survivors of Moon City his goodwill. Perhaps his arrival had made the Gray Fog "boil" for a moment. Or perhaps it was all of those things...
Whatever the reason, High Priest Nim held nothing back. He told Klein everything Moon City had learned from thousands of years of attempts to open the Gray Fog Barrier.
Klein immediately pulled various materials from the Historical Void and repeated the Survivors' rituals.
