After joining up with the City of Silver's exploration team, Klein easily dealt with the two Silver Knights guarding the gate and turned one into a Marionette. He then ordered the Silver Knight, who stood much taller than he did, to step forward and drive his greatsword into a crack in the ground.
The Silver Knight crouched and pressed both hands against the gate, which stood dozens of meters high.
With a heavy grinding sound, the gate studded with golden nails slowly swung open.
At that moment, the "sun" high overhead leaped, and the entire Giant King's Court froze in the orange-red light of twilight.
The enormous gate opened faster and faster, gradually revealing what lay beyond to Klein and the others.
A gray-white staircase bathed in orange-red light rose from behind the gate. Its countless steps stretched all the way to the Giant King's Residence, the highest and grandest structure there. Nothing blocked the way, while palaces and towers crowded both sides;
Statues of giants clad in iron-colored armor and carrying halberds stood before the buildings, guarding the road to the god's residence.
"Time to put on your show." Klein had been corroded by the power of the Fallen when he used the Key for Door Opening and was now on the verge of Loss of Control. He turned his head and spoke to Colin Iliad and Lovia with an exaggerated smile.
Colin nodded slightly without objection. Behind Lovia, an illusory figure several meters tall appeared, clad in full silver armor, its eyes glowing dark red like fire.
